Victorious on Purpose

Trust the Process

Trust

Before my child could walk, he was building with LEGOs. He would eat, sleep, and breathe Legos. I still enjoy watching him plan and execute his designs into actual buildings, cars, and robots. One Christmas we sat together to put together a restaurant he received. It was a three-story building of little pieces. (Sigh) As we had taken all the pieces out the box, they were in individual numbered bags and with several booklets of instructions. Both of our eyes grew bigger. His, because of the excitement but mine were more like worry. The thought of the zillion little pieces that will later be everywhere in the house, including the bathroom LOL. My son and all his excitement began ripping the bags apart before we could go over the instructions. Three bags were opened before I could stop him. I finally stopped him and explained how we had to read the booklets first and follow the process. After separating the numbered bags, putting them in order, he understood that each step had a purpose and we must go through the process to make sure that his restaurant would be properly put together without worries of it falling before his customers can eat. I promised him that if followed the plans in the book that it would be perfect. He understood and off to work we went on the Café Le Twerp.

This was a lesson that I remind myself on so many occasions, Trust the Process. God has a process for everything that happens in our lives. Even through the trials and tribulations that we face, Trust the Process and trust that God’s process will lead to a victorious ending. In the process of God’s, there is a plan, a purpose, a promise, and power. We must believe, pray, be persistent and productive.

God’s process includes a plan. God’s word tells us He has a plan for our welfare, our future, and our hopes. God provides everything for us. In Matthew 6:31-33, “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”. The next time you are wondering where your next meal is coming from or how you are going to pay the rent, know that God has already made a way for it to happen. It is a part of the process of us trusting him and having faith that He will come through.

God’s word tells us in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” God has a purpose for our lives and everything in it before we were born. He knows what we are going to ask before we ask and He knows what we are going to go through before it happens. His purpose for us, had been established before the beginning of time. It is up to us to discover the it and harmonize with his plan. Once this is done, we can fulfill our destiny. So, when we go through things I life, both good and bad, we should believe that God’s purpose is bigger than how feel and/or think about it. It doesn’t have to make sense to us but we should trust it to work out.

In every part of the process, there is a promise. A promise that if we seek his kingdom and his righteousness, we will be given all things (Matthew 6:33) is a part of his plan and in His purpose, He promised to make us a prophet of many nations (Jeremiah 1:5). God promises us that He will wipe away every tear (Revelations 21:4) and promises us peace in the mist of our trials (Isiah 25:3-4). God also promises us Victory and protection. His word says, in Isiah 41:10-13, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” He is promising us to give us strength, He will help us, and anyone that comes against you will fall. In return He just wants us to trust the process and to trust Him. He will not leave us like those who proclaim to be our friends but when it gets rough, they run in the opposite direction. God can’t fail us even when we fail Him.

Finally, God’s power is last “P” of the process. If we follow and trust the process, believing his promises understanding the there is a purpose for what we are going through and press through it even when we are weary, and allow His plan to rule then we can see God’s power work miracles in our lives. God is a powerful and mighty God. “‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17. Our skills and knowledge can only get so far, but is the power of God that fills in where we fall short. It is his power that we experience when we face something that we would normally fear but face It anyway. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that takes over in the mist of losing a battle that we already have victory over. God’s power takes over when we need God to step in on our behalf.

Trusting the Process requires faith, trust, and believing in God. The process is not all on God, we must a part to play as well. We still need to pray and live our lives a close to Christ-like as we can. Trusting the process is not one of those things you just pray one day and expect God to finish the rest. We still must be persistent and consistent in our prayer life and productive at working towards the victory.

God has a process in everything that we do and everything we go through in life. His process has a purpose for why we must go through it. His purpose has a plan for how we go through it and in every purpose and plan there is a promise. Then the process is nearing completion you experience the Power of God through a victorious finish. But to experience it, you must Trust the Process!!!!
